It's all happening!

Our new album - Time to Save the World - is now 2 weeks old and A LOT has happened in the last two weeks. We thought it time we provide you an update of all of the exciting things that have come our way since the 5th November:

Streaming & Downloads

A huge thank you to everyone who has purchased a CD or digital download so far, this album was completely self funded by us at the point of recording and thanks to you wonderful people, we were able to put the finishing touches on to it and bring it into the world on the 5th November. For those who haven't purchased a copy yet, or had chance to listen to it, the album is available on all of the usual streaming platforms below, as well as physical copies from our shop.

Reviews

Reviews are starting to come in for the new album and we're relieved to see that they are all positive about the new music, here is a little snippet of what has come in so far:

"Stunning three-part harmonies, soaring fiddles and fearless mandolins... Jaywalkers are a powerhouse of Americana" Country Music Magazine

"The band are an energetic live band and this a solid addition to their catalogue" Maverick Magazine

"Album of the week" BBC Radio Ulster's Late show with Eve Blair

"Jaywalkers’ musicianship is truly tasty: both deft and impeccable but never soulless, also a veritable model of restraint, while the players’ togetherness and interplay is mesmerising and attention-grabbing yet without shouting its prowess." Folk Radio UK

"This is an album you should not swerve to avoid." FATEA Magazine

Tour

As well as releasing the new CD, we're also on tour! We are already 9 gigs in to our new album tour and we've had an absolute blast so far. For a full list of tour dates that stretches right towards the end of February next year, head over to our TOUR PAGE. This week, we're working with the good folks at Bath Folk Festival, who are hosting us at the St James Wine Vaults on Friday, then onto Cookham in Berkshire on Saturday

Mandolin Monday

I (Mike) have had the enormous pleasure of being featured on the Mandolin Monday's series. Every Monday, David and the mandolincafe publish a video from a mandolin player working anywhere around the world. For my video, I have done an arrangement of a tune I wrote for the new album called 'End of the World Waltz'. Here's the video:

If you'd like to have a go at playing the tune, whatever standard you are, I've published the tab over on my teaching website here.

The Daily Country Essential 8

If you'd like to know about more about us, the new album, our inspiration ... or even what we do on a day off ... we had the pleasure of being interviewed by The Daily Country's Essential 8 Series. It should hopefully provide you a bit of an inside into life as a Jaywalker.

Hometown Gig

Finally, we're delighted to say that we are bringing the new album launch tour to our home town of Chester! We'll be playing at the amazing Storyhouse on Saturday the 2nd Feb next year. Tickets are only £10 and it will sell out so please book your tickets in advance. Full info for the gig and how to book tickets are all on this link here.

And that's all of our news! There'll be plenty more reviews coming through in the next few weeks and we hope to see you all on the road some time (if we haven't already).

Thanks for joining us on this exciting part of our careers!

Mike, Jay & Lucy
