An irreparably damaged teepee

Yes, you've read that correctly. Unfortunately, our gig at Coniston Water next week (10th Sept) has had to be cancelled. The 'summer' weather this year has done some serious damage to the teepee that was going to be used to host the gig and a replacement hasn't been able to be found. We're hoping that it will be re-arranged for a future date so keep an eye out on the tour page.

In other news, we've had a great couple of weekends travelling well over 1000 miles to play at :

Purbeck Valley Folk Festival ... which included torrential rain the minute we started playing, a mid-set power cut

London Southbank ... where we almost lost Mike's mandolin

Ulverston Live .... which even the severe Friday night M6 traffic couldn't stop us having a bloomin' lovely evening

and finally

Lytham St Annes Folk Club .. which is one of the nicest venues we've played at in a long time

On top of that, we've started to do some new recording! I'll save the full announcement for a later blog, but, safe to say that if you come along to our tour this year in November/December, you will be able to get your hands on some new Jaywalkers music!

That's all for now, enjoy the rest of what's left of summer

Mike
